Refute it. It’s verifiable fact that Not Like Us was made that quickly

He was more calculated because of the way he dropped songs and the content within them

He didn’t misstep with MTG. It completely stepped on FM. I suggest you go back and watch some of the reactions to it. The daughter s*** never turned out to be fake. Nobody knows the truth about it

Drake is the one who lied about “feeding fake info” because he didn’t send that pic to Kendrick as that weirdo showed a few days later

It’s also been noted that NLU was supposed to be the mail in the coffin. Kendrick didn’t know that song was gonna pop off that crazy and didn’t expect Drake to give up so fast

It’s also pretty clear Drake made up all his allegations against Kendrick obviously

As much as everyone was saying “this is great for hip-hop” in the moment I really don’t know if that’s true. Is it possible the general audience saw the circus and said, “Yeah…we’re gonna rock with Sabrina, and Chappell, and Charli for now.”

Rap is in the mud post-beef and pop and country are running circles around it

Why you care about people who would rather listen to 3 pop artists you named and country over hiphop anyways? Thank you for visiting we never needed ya

    Unforgivable

Oh shut the f*** up man

At no point in the beef was Drake up on the scoreboard

Ok. Why so hostile I'm explaining the thought process of others, yall.made this so tribal to where it's impossible to talk about it without aggression (drake and kendrick fans)

If rap was still flopping the same way it is rn yes I would. Outside of NLU there hasn’t been a single popular rap song all summer

I’m just posing the question don’t get so defensive. Did the beef hurt or help hip-hop? It’s hard to say it helped it consider the state it’s in rn. S*** got real ugly and maybe people ultimately didn’t want to see that.

NLU will probably hurt kendrick in the long run tbh, in the eyes of his fans it'll be a great moment but overall down the line, it's just gonna overshadow everything he does moving forward

I don’t buy this narrative that Kendrick won because he was more calculated or prepared for anything. Not Like Us was made in like 24 hours because he had misstepped with Meet the Grahams. The daughter s*** turned out to be false and outside of the shock release timing strategy, people didn’t really seem to f***ing with the track itself.

At the end of the day he won because he made the biggest track in the beef. Back against the wall he stepped up, threw an Hail Mary, and made a f***ing hit.

Back against the wall the delusion is crazy

MTG big stepped on Family Matters, shut down Drake's momentum completely and then he crushed him with the biggest diss rap song in billboard history

Why would he hastily put together another track after so carefully planning out his strategy with tracks ready to go? Yeah MTG stepped all over Family Matters and it made what Drake thought would be a killshot into just another jab. But obviously it didn’t do what Kendrick ultimately wanted it accomplish. Otherwise he wouldn’t have spent all this time carefully planning just to throw together another song last minute

Well idgaf what’s “qualified” in your eyes

One guy lied and got caught multiple times

The other said something that’s still unverified

From 11-16 yeah he deserved to walk with a little swagger imo. But nothing he released since views clicked for me as a whole and maybe it was an ego thing.

Doesn't change the fact that rap is cooked despite the beef. Numbers will keep dropping all around the board and good luck to any more major rap singles moving forward lol.

What the f*** are you talking about? I just said Drake got caught lying multiple times

Kendrick didn’t. The only questionable thing is the daughter which we still don’t know the verdict on

It’s funny how your acting like I’m a Kendrick fan boy when you yourself are d*** riding beyond actual reality

It's already his biggest chart hit (more weeks at #1/the top 10 than Humble.) Will probably out-stream/move more units than Humble in half the time it took Humble, if not sooner and that's a record tied to Drake forever.

I also don't see a world where he ever scores another hit as big. He'll enjoy it now but he'll feel very different about the biggest hit of his career being a diss track aimed at Drake a couple years from now.

You don’t even realize how you’re talking out both sides of your mouth. Drake “got caught lying multiple times” but with Kendrick it’s “we still don’t know the verdict”. He doesn’t have a daughter dude. Its okay.
