i definitely agree with GKMC at the top

His best mix of storytelling and replayability imo

yeah best mix of everything people say damn was his best mix of commercial and conscious but gkmc has something for everybody plus he’s really saying something on it and he doesn’t go crazy with the experimentation which can get pretty tiring

Agree 100% the singles on Damn are super generic compared Swimming Pools and Poetic Justice

Love, Loyalty and Humble are some of the most generic Kendrick songs of all time

Every artist you know does this no matter the genre.

It's gonna take a few years but The Big Steppers is gonna be one of his pillar albums like GKMC and TPAB

The bad reception is perception formed by the fans he got by doing a commercially successful album like Damn. Those were the only people complaining about the lack of "replay value".

Real fans did understand that this was the first time in a long time Kendrick made an album for himself and not for the greater good.
