All sales/streams metrics point to drake always being a bigger artist every year. Having a bigger song at a certain moment like anaconda doesn’t make her a bigger artist overall
Jan 1 2012 they had an equal amount of searches & Jan 1 2014 Nicki had 3 points more than Drake. But that’s it 2 days (or months) out of 10+ years

Super Bass was Nicki's first top 5 hit. Super Bass peaked at #3 in August 2011. Best I Ever Had peaked at #2 in August 2009. Also, despite Best I Ever Had being a rap song, it peaked higher than Super Bass and only spent 3 fewer weeks in the top 10 than Super Bass did.
Nicki was NEVER bigger than Drake. She was only bigger than him on pop radio because made bubblegum pop hits early in her career while Drake didn't but Drake's hits were always bigger/just as big and he was scoring hits as a solo/lead artist before Nicki.
Super Bass was the 8th biggest song of 2011. Drake didn’t get a top 20 on the year end charts until 2012 with the Motto reaching #20 (that same year Nicki had Starships at #9). Drake didn’t hit the top 10 on any year end chart until 2016.
