It has been over a year.
At the time of his assassination, people were on high alert for a war, which somehow never materialised. The government of iraq were understandably outraged, and ordered America to leave.
In the weeks prior, tensions between the united states and iran had mounted. Iranians hit an Iraqi installation, killing an american defense contractorm
Qassem Solemaini was the iranian regimes top muscle. While it is absolutely true he played a pivotal role in defeating isis, he was a groomed successor to the role of iranian PM, and his aid to Shia militias in iran, as well as his own acts of terror, have been argued to make the killing justified.
My take: the killing was a good idea, he had it coming, however it was wrong to continue holding troops in the region
HOWEVER iran could probably nominate a nearly competent successor, and this gives iran a motive to reduce American influence in the area. Yet even so, the retaliation was extremely mild, and ultimately embarassed Iran
my main problem with it was when they retaliated and blew up that plane with 100 people on it
that could have been prevented if it just didn't happen
and the situation with iran would not have been as bad if they just stayed in the nuclear deal. the whole premise of attacking iran for not following their end of the deal was false AFAIK
None of these things really happen without America starting the problems and creating their enemies so yeah it’s bad to kill yet another leader as a revenge act of war
Especially in a region you’ve f***ed over beyond belief for decades
OP's ideology can be boiled down to this simple line of thought: "US terrorism, good, everyone else terrorism bad"
No. Excellently done too. Just like that strike on Assad. Or when they killed al baghdadi. Iran has a rotten regime.

I mean no not really, 2 things can be bad but the killing of solemaini was less bad than letting him live

This is a really good point
I do agree with this
This war pig deserved the worst death but USA shouldn’t have done it. No state should have a right to execute someone like that
Any person who supports the iranian regimme has a mental defect. Simply because their ideology is against human rights.
Qasem soleimani was an enforcer who went after those who had different thought process to the fundementalist ayatollahs. He has the blood of many iranian activists and syrian children on his hands.

There is more to that than it just being an individual mistake. 3 missiles were fired and right after they bulldozed the whole ground removing all the evidence.
I lost a friend on that plane. He was going to canada to do his masters.

He didnt play a pivotal role in defeating isis. He played a pivotal role in creating it.
People need to stop spreading the ayatollahs lies.
He was in syria before ISIS had any control over there. He was sent with guns and muscle by the ayatollah to save bashir assads regimme. He is the man behind those rockets that syrian gvt used to kill its civilians.
Their actions paved the way for isis to take over... then they conveniently used that as an excuse to justify their presence in syria by claiming they are there to fight ISIS. But in reality they all want the chaos
These f***ing politicians and oil companies are in it together, all these presidents are terrorists.
Lets not forget the core ideology of iranian officials, i.e. the brain washed idiots who believe the supreme leader is the 12th shia imam's representative on earth!
They belive that chaos and injustice will get to such levels that the 12th shia messiah will return and rule over the universe with sharia law. But he needs an army of soldiers and he will place his soldiers in key governing roles across the world.
This is the kinda s*** Soleimani fed his Qods teen soldiers. Be the judge for yourselves..

So was soleimani , heck take a look at OG supreme leaders grand son Hassan Khomeini. He looks whiter than a ginger brit. Khomeini was a half brit half kashmiri anyway... all these f***ers are in it together. They work together to steal the oil in that region. Pretend they fight likes of ISIS but have their sons as Oil company CEOs buying oil from the terrorists in the black market

Judging by what you said about your friend.. you sound like your closer to/know more about this than most

That Vlad Bafoon calls you an imperialist but supports khamenei (the King himself) haha
The propoganda machine is in motion as we speak..
they are trying their hardest to put khamenei's son on the throne next. No doubt if Soleimani was still alive he be running for president now with the goal of making mojtabas transition to supreme leader position more seamlessly.. iranians dodged a bullet fr
Would it be bad if a foreign government assassinated one of our generals?
(Assuming you’re in US)
