Well standards are low nowadays so I’ve accepted it lol

When i was in middle school OF, pro era, black hippy, asap mob etc were all literally blowing up at the same time so we were blessed

But I recognized that phase of hip hop is gone now and what qualfies as technical rap abilities has shifted

You do realize people said the standards were pretty low during the pro era, of, black hippy, asap mob era too. Most of those acts you named arent top tier rappers either.

And X wasn't even that great bar for bar. Show me a super technically impressive X verse, you can't. And his flows sucked ass.

I always saw them as some of the strongest class of rappers among any generation of hip hop tbh

I dnt listen to old hip hop (mid 2000s and below) so idk
    Maybe im biased

Lil Uzi when he’s not a simp

I hate that people view the new gen as rappers like lil pump and lil xan

XXX was probably the most entertaining tho.

And yeah, like others in this thread have said already, Juice WRLD was a far better rapper than X. X had a nice flow sometimes but his lyrics were completely nonsensical. Juice had flow and substance.

This was completely off the dome btw

Juice Wrld bit his flow and style in like 2 songs. His freestyles are all the same subject matter.

And saying that X wasn’t good bar for bar is dumb, dude had hella different flows and s***. Just search up some of his s*** before saying that.

  • May 11, 2020

idk about that, but he was the last new gen rapper that really had it all. Juice was mighty close tho

  • May 11, 2020

    Kodak nigga

  • May 11, 2020
