Why they keep redoing watchmen and making it worse every single time lmao
If I were a full on watchmen fan I'd be in such shambles

The director is out there saying he wants to direct a Doomsday Clock adaptation, so anyone who needs to know the quality of this thing needs to look no further than that interview
The only Watchmen adjacent stuff that's good or justifies its existence other than the main comic is the HBO show.

I think the racist evil plot line felt like it was going to go a lot more twist and turns then was so straight forward
The HBO show I will defend because it's doing in many ways what the original comic book did. It's taking historical and political ideas of the age it was made in and applying them to a unique alternate history and intertwining them with superhero mythology.
As a sequel it can mostly (if not completely) be ignored, it's barely using any of the original characters from the source material and mainly just uses the world of the comic as its playground. It's also subverting superhero television/cinema in a way that the original did for comics. It's trying, has a point, and overall is kinda cool.
Before Watchmen, Doomsday Clock, Snyder's movie, and this all feel like pointless business moves from WB/DC to milk the iconic characters and imagery all while completely missing the mark on any intention the original comic had.
I haven't read Tom King's Rorschach and I know some people defend that one (still seems pointless to me).
