Yea i just recently read the comic. Zack snyder needs to be publicly executed. Its like he missed the entire point of the comic and just created a movie of cool visuals

The movie feels so vapid and hollow compared to the comic.

I loved the dr manhattan origin scene in the movie growing up but god damn it has like 1 tenth of the sauce of the comic version. The comic version is so unique in how it portrays how he sees time and in the movie its just a average flash back without much narration

there is no way u could adapt that scene perfectly in any format besides a comic book

Its like alot of the scenes are just vapid interpretations of the ones in the comic, like each chapter it feels like the author is arguing a point on philosophy that goes into the overaching theme of the story whereas the movie is just a bunch of slow mo scenes with some context behind things that makes the characters seem more admirable than they should be

Just reminded me to reread that. The hype is definitely real when it comes to Watchmen, but Zack really tried doing a 1:1 adaptation (minus ending) without packing in the subtext into the movie. The opening credits are the best part of his film
