Yeah, I love Wayne but Nas' catalog is just better to me. Lyrically ofc but also in terms of artistic vision, quality and consistency, plus higher highs.

Btw I just mentioned that bc Wayne was s***ting on the generic trendy mainstream rappers of that era in that vid. He knew that Nas is doing it right.
It's also funny bc he came at rappers for turning into singers in that vid, and then as we all know a little while later he started doing the same thing.

It's pretty crazy bc Wayne has turned into the "anti real-hip hop" symbol while he imself pretty much shares (or at least at one point, shared) a similar mindset as all the hip hop heads out there.

What happened to that Wayne! I’m the first one to say he’s overrated, but I really enjoy Wayne between C1 up to C3. Then he just took a left turn and pretty much became the figure head for what he’s talking about on the vid! Mad s***!
