had to go back for more curry. this time the green chile version of the pork katsu. definitely going back for one more dish before leaving sapporo

i felt like their lamprais the rice held up better after i took it home
overall their food was spicier by a lot compared to lakruwana
both heat wise and amt of spices
but lakruwana was also half the price tbqh
i think this felt more bombastically flavored restaurant style and lakruwana felt more like i went to someones moms house and ate a bomb ass meal
both really good

my fave asian dessert spot (meet fresh) has closed both nyc locations to my deep umbrage. replacing it is makkee dessert. sweet potatoes and sweet potato mochi was good--but where tf is the taiwanese slush/shaved ice section of the menu smdh

weekly meat hook summer bbq--ft has dac biet this time.
banh mi roll thing was mid as hell, cabbage mid, smoked chicken really really really good

matcha + four and twenty blackbirds mini matcha custard pie yum. i put guava jam in the matcha i got from yun hai too

chicago tavern style (pat's in chicago) > bar pie (lee's tavern) > apizza (sallys apizza)

i think apizza is just sooo dry and abrasive
the topping to dough ratio of chi tavern is goated
maybe i need 2 try more than just 1 spot each of these styles but i fl p good abt it rn
