ROVOFeasted heavily for thanksgiving today
Fam dug in before I could get a pic 😔
Had lamb shoulder and beef ribs and rotisserie chicken and rice and mashed potatoes
And apple pie and pumpkin pie
cant wait for the aroma of apple pie, cinnamon, stuffing, and mac & cheese to fill the house
spending time with the people important to you and enjoying each other's company

And cooked rice with raisins and almonds and spices which is the arabic version of stuffing I guess

I don’t like the almonds either my fam puts a bit to the side for me with just raisins

It’s a basic version of another arabic dish that’s rice with spices with raisins and potatoes and peas and meatballs and chicken and all that. But they just make it with raisins and almonds when it’s a side to something else

No we don’t fry it
Others do and they get the crispy parts but my fam somewhat healthy conscious so we don’t fry our rice
Was my first time having lamb shoulder. It was really f***ing good. My fam put in in the oven bags and let it roast slowly in the oven for like a couple hours after they’d marinated it for like a day. Was amazing

That’s the only thing I wish we had made turkey for
I don’t think the leftovers will be good at all. I already have a steak in the fridge ready to be cooked cuz I don’t think imma eat lamb leftovers
