The "white washing rap" narrative needs to stop.

None of the White Rappers in the game really have a hold on the Culture. They really only attract White Fans who are casual fans or pop stans at best.

If anything there are probably more Black Rappers doing big numbers (stream wise) in a very long time.

The thing that needs to be worried about are labels selling and marketing too much of the culture's ignorance imo

Won’t be white wash but artist in the future will try (if they are smart) to appeal to white people as they make the most money.

End of the day tho, the artist to gain attention need to be respected or at least tolerated by the black community

    Street rap at least good

People don’t realize the image and effect that ignorant gangster rap has.

Don’t get me wrong I listen to a lot of gangster rap (aka street rap according to ktt) but only in small spurts because it is so negative

Rap created a whole wave of black consciousness and awareness from 1988-to the late 90s (97 or so) I just wanted to state that before people come in saying music has no effect on the culture

“Better than ever” You have not seen the charts during the early 2000’s then. Also radio has way too much influence on the charts right now. Especially pop radio which plays mostly white rappers.
