all understandable. my question is why did he release laugh now cry later then if he didn't plan on releasing the album this year?
everyone knows coronavirus will be around til 2022 at the very least
Do you think he wasn't happy with the short term commercial success of the single? Gods Plan into Nice For What into In My Feelings is a hard run to top.

I just think LNCL just dropped on a collab track (WAP) that I don’t think even he would’ve anticipated to do that well.

drake's only #1 this year was toosie slide before corona and that was nowhere near god's plan or imf. and pretty much everything he released/featured on afterwards flopped
given the pandemic music in general has taken a hit but then we have WAP which has been dominating all year.
and last we heard from drake was during nwts anniversary. the way that man said "soon enough" meant he had no immediate plans to release this and wasn't looking forward to rolling it out during the pandemic

Lol @ flopped. Drake has an unmatched level of “success” if those are flops 🤣 yall ed
Look on the bright side if CLB doesn’t perform well commercially—I only care if it sounds good tbh even if it sells 100k copies—Drake will finally focus on other s*** like acting so that’s a plus
I came into this thread and niggas saying LNCL flopped . Y’all some weird delusional mufuckas . Imma head out

Guys, a surprise drop makes no sense. It’s not a surprise anymore. Bro has announced that it would drop in the summer then proceeded to tease us with merch for months. A sudden drop would be just a past due album. What made IYRTITL drop such a moment is that we had NOTHING to go off of. Niggas just woke up and it was an album. Not a huge build up, die down and random drop day.

Lol drake don’t care about that enough for him to delay an album. That’s something teetering artists do when they are on the brink of falling off and NEED something for people to hold on to. Drake isn’t in that position.
Saturday drop for bday
I’d love a teaser/trailer for the album with a signature noise that we will hear throughout the album
Is it time to admit that the album isn’t coming soon and it was a poor rollout?

Tbh don’t even know what plan they had/have with the album rollout let alone deciding if it’s good or bad

Can’t be a poor rollout if the rollout didn’t exist in the first place

I mean does the covid excuse really works when he dropped Laugh Now Cry Later as the first single 2 months ago?

He dropped a single from the album... the rollout existed
