Need something like that 2 keep updated with the general happenings in the continent, hopefully we can spread some useful info and good discussion too
somebody link me or this can be the thread and I'll edit the OP to look better
Some old websites I used to look at for news aren't there anymore so I'm trying to find new ones, I don't trust most European website perspectives on Africa since they're still tryna lil bro African countries and profit off (neo)colonial industries like cocoa and tea and s***
For those who don't know, the African continent is incredibly diverse with all types of people who have different traditions, languages, economies, industries, and otherwise.
There are both urbanized (and i guess more "modernized") areas with cities and then there are many rural places, villages, towns, etc... Both can have their positives and negatives but they're equally valid and show how vast the differences can be with places on the continent.
Some places have hundreds of languages/or dialects
Some state borders split ethnic groups to where there are disputes over territory,
All in all I think Africa can be the key to uniting the world, when countries and nations in it become more and more capable of producing more technology/medical advancements, and having more of a say in global affairs
Some of the minds that come from Africa could play a huge role in healing and/or helping the world to reach a better place

:(
“They burned the houses then went after the population who had fled to the woods and started with their macabre actions,” said Rafael.
Witnesses told local media the assailants herded residents onto the local football field in the village of Muatide where the killings were carried out.
Security forces in gas-rich Cabo Delgado province have been fighting the armed group – which pledged allegiance to ISIL (ISIS) last year – since 2017. ---
But some a***ysts have questioned how serious the ISIL (ISIS) link really is, saying the root of the unrest may be poverty and inequality rather than religion. Little is known about the fighters who call themselves al-Shabab – although they have no known links to the group of that name operating in Somalia.
There's nothing like western sahara, please
and I will say this s*** over and over again, f*** algeria, f*** south africa
npr.org/2021/01/12/953580506/ugandas-ruler-museveni-defends-violent-crackdown-in-bid-for-6th-term
At 38, Bobi Wine has electrified young people across Uganda. And Museveni, who has historically clamped down on anyone who poses a real threat to his power, has unleashed his security forces on him. In a press conference on Tuesday, Bobi Wine said the military had killed his driver and that his home was raided.
Even before the electoral campaign began, Bobi Wine was arrested several times. In one instance, he was tortured so badly, he flew to the United States to receive treatment.
