Anyone who follows the Fintech space knows that Fednow has been in development for years. Now we have a bunch of conspiracy theories being pushed because the cashapp founder died. It’s funny because people don’t even consider the fact that cashapp has always used a bank on the backend in order to facilitate money. Guess we will always remain stagnant smh

Walmart has been at war with card processors for a while now. They don’t want to be charged interechange fees. These companies lose a lot of money off of it. Old news

Existence of fintech is a strong indicator of late stage capitalism

Yep, your average American is typically pretty stupid. Critical thinking has been on the decline for years now, it's the age of Idiocracy, actually.

Wrong. Fintech has always existed. It's financial technology.

It's annoying at this point because it impedes progress. There are tons of experts that can talk about this very subject in detail, give you white papers but people would rather get that info from a drill music page... Doesn't make sense

It's pretty bad, currently in college about to be 27, and the bar has basically been set lower than ever. Started at a community college in 2014, and the classes there were harder than they are now (at a university level). Most zoomers (who make up the majority of my classmates aside from a few who are in their late 20's and early 30's) are basically incapable of doing any work that isn't the bare minimum. Not trying to sound like an old man, but s***, the last ~5 years or so have caused a large decline in the average IQ of younger Americans. Actually absurd at this point.

Largely a result of the Every Student Succeeds Act which succeeded the No Child Left Behind Act (often criticized for being the true 'end' of a decent public education).

Kind of fearful for the future if this is what the younger generations are shaping out to be as time goes on. This shouldn't have happened. It's like going backwards in time.

Yeah this s*** is getting sad. Nobody wants to seek out information anymore they want it spoonfed to them.

That’s supposed to be the best thing about the internet. Having all of the information in the world at your disposal yet people choose to just listen to whatever they’re told by random ass blogs, tweets and tik toks.

When I saw people sharing the video of Terrence Howard explaining that 1x0=1 I pretty much gave up.
