Gonna have to stop you on the “fake drake quote era”, that was a thing a little before him too with a lot of rappers, it was never exclusively a drake thing. The other drake light skin memes was more of a drake era imo. My favorite fake quote pics are ones of Wiz Khalifa with deep love quotes lol

Drake doesn't make songs about dealing with suicidal thoughts or depression, because he's never dealt with that s*** in his life. Earl f***ing has and does, it's evident in his music, and people with real issues find solace in his music. It's an unfair comparison every time because Drake is literally more commercially successful. I don't care what that corny degrassi boy has to say about some girl he likes

If more people don’t commit suicide because of drakes music he is helping with that. Regardless of what the song is about.

Impact on an Audience. If you are the best plumber and you only fix 10 sinks. How can you rank yourself above someone that fixed a million. He has way more chances to mess up. Way more differences to satisfy.

Drake reaches and impacts more lives than Caniibal Ox and that’s a skill. It doesn’t get credit like lyricism or delivery but it’s a skill

Just like we give credit to Lupe for being a super lyricist we also have to admit that he isn’t as relatable to most than J Cole and that’s ok.

I guess me personally I don’t factor that in at all. Performance skill is one thing but “touching lives” means nothing to me because most of that is explained by marketing and promotion, not because Cole and Drake have a skill that’s rare.

Also if you wanna do the pluming a***ogy, the “more chances to mess up” thing don’t work because drake has never had a chance to mess up. With that money behind you, there’s always a net below you. An independent plumber has to plumb, the plumber equivalent to drake would be more like a huge team of plumbers coming into your house with the most expensive equipment you’ve ever seen.

I actually seriously doubt that drake could do a show without the production value. His vocals are already noticeably horrible with the production budget. He’s not walking into the house of blues and putting on a good sounding show with 2 tables and a mic, the fans would go crazy but his celebrity would be moving the crowd, not what he’s doing
