Beauty-Starboy
The Weeknd is old now, 10 years
The weeknd just had his best and biggest studio album, and the second biggest song of all time with Blinding Lights.
Its safe to say that this is his prime
I think he just likes to argue please don’t let him derail this thread for another 5 pages lol

Being old af, 10yrs in the game is not your prime, your prime is when you’re music quality and popularity is on a high/equal ground
When he dropped that 40 shades of gray single, 3rd album in, he started his prime
After hours is not his best album, he’s been around 10yrs of course the numbers are up, but after hours sounds like a simpler approach of Starboy

Okay, lets first talk about music quality. Since people's musical tastes are subjective, we can only judge music quality here based on the general public's agreement or disagreement on an album.
Here is the metacritic for all of his albums.
As you can see, based on this, After Hours is the highest rated project out of all his albums within the general listener/critics.
In terms of popularity, there is no question that this is most successful year sales/streaming wise.
Blinding Lights is his biggest song to date.
The album itself was literally his biggest yet first sales wise
After Hours’ first week total of 444,000 equivalent album units comprises 275,000 in album sales, 163,000 in SEA units and 6,000 in TEA units. The album’s SEA sum equates to 220.7 million on-demand streams of the set’s tracks in its first week. After Hours’ streaming start was so big, the album would have been No. 1 on the Billboard 200 even if it hadn’t sold a single copy.
And to top it all off, he's headlining the Superbowl for crying out loud! Probably the biggest stage for an artist to be on.
So it's 100% fair to say that he is in his prime right now, compared to BBTM & Starboy era.

When you 10yrs in the game you’re not in your prime you’re on your way OUT
and u just did some nerd metacritic internet stuff that we clown all the time on KTT, those scores from white people who think they have an ear for music MEAN NOTHING
The Weeknd’s prime started on Beauty, ended on STARBOY
After hours is overrated not as good as kiss land or Starboy if I tell it

Being in your prime means being at your best. I literally just showed you he's at his best right now objectively to the general public.
Don't know what else to tell you.
You’re just wrong bro
When you do a Super Bowl u are not IN YOUR PRIME
you’re old enough to do the super bowl and highlight your career,
You’re on your way out
Being in your prime means being at your best. I literally just showed you he's at his best right now objectively to the general public.
Don't know what else to tell you.
U showed meaningless metacritic stats, the longer u are here at a position like that of course your numbers go up
You have to gauge popularity and music quality at the same time to say someone’s in there prime
You don’t go into your prime at the end of your career
The only person to have such a long lasting prime is Kanye West
Being in your prime means being at your best. I literally just showed you he's at his best right now objectively to the general public.
Don't know what else to tell you.
If we go by your definition his prime was beauty behind the madness
When Carti dropped @ meh or when kid cudi leaked Carti began his prime
When Travis dropped Huncho Jack he started his prime

Simpler approach of starboy....
All of the choruses to all starboy songs are reflected in the title. Starboy was a good album but it was way too much filler and predictable as hell

If we talking pop/commercially STARBOY his best album
Years ago I thought It was too much filler on Starboy but after revisiting it I changed my mind that’s his best commercial album
Kiss land his best artsy pop album
And after hours is a hyped up dumbed down version of Starboy basically him doing the same thing again but his stans eating it up
I can’t wrap my head around the thought process of After Hours being a “simpler approach to Starboy”
I can’t wrap my head around the thought process of After Hours being a “simpler approach to Starboy”
Listen to save your tears, it’s a dumbed down Starboy song, then at the end he does the daft punk vocoder sound
Starboy was him rapping/flowing/ smooth RnB singing with groovy pop songs
After hours is heavier pop, with remade Starboy groovy pop, and his music video approach

In a interview or whatever The Weeknd said he used Starboy as a memory or aim in someway making After hours

This is an awful take
