rivers goes off about them recently - it seems he’s left in the dark when it comes to track listing at least under crush label, im assuming they manage it as it’s business marketing, as he says they always put everything commercially valuable up to the front and leaves the more fanbase lore mysterious for the back

and so far it makes sense when you look at the track listing of them of their albums under crush, black has that factor the most obvious, white you can say it differs but it was their first there so maybe it was different but even then most of the pop appeal comes first side of the album - same pacific daydream too the more weezer tracks comes side b and then ok human, which is odd because the transitions are seamlessly so it sounds as if it was paced together, but rivers kept recording until the last weeks of it and.. idk if you look at the tracklist order it does follow the same formula, grapes of wrath, aloo gobi, all my favorite songs all bops on side a

and what we’ve seen so far from van weezer tracklist if it’s real goes into that direction too, all singles up front and the obscure more fan known material at the back, so yeah it’s possible ive thrown it all away was considered then somewhere for a different tracklist order replaced? he implies it might be bonus song now, says he doesn’t even know what the closing song is 😞

crush are getting in hot water lately, lot of ppl are complaining about their managing
