I still don't get that album like how did they recreate it if they only heard it once

so the homie project back then wasn’t as well documented as it is today with rivers dropping demos and adding comment as to what was intended for what but some of the songs we thought was for homie bc it was in the same era and presented live at the same time

so what the two guys did is they gathered everything of that time and added songs that was contenders for early album 3 (to become green) and it stacks together and became the tracklist they did for volume 1

the homie album was never completed just demos and live performances the only song that was fully finished and released was this one, made for a homie, which also happens to be the FINAL record of the original line up (with bassist matt sharp dude that does all the corky back vocals falsetto on blue and pinkerton)

the two fans who did the homie vol 1 project didn’t include this one but maybe saved it for the vol 2 that never happened???

ill post if you want all the demos and lives that the fans based off of to make the homie vol 1 track lists and recordings

• funny thing is what made the line up for the homie project includes a guy that later became the head at some position for microsoft (adam orth) and the dude who did the joker movie!!!! isn’t that insane?

so ofc they picked on multiple sources as they could to recreate the song this one rivers had released the demo and there’s live version of it but they’re pretty identical so it’s safe to assume they took it best from here as it’s the better recording quality

same as wanda rivers has released the demo for that one way back but the version the guys did for the project homie vol 1 resembles far more to this live version
