really? bc of the conceptual aspect?

think he would like more the dark side stuff

don’t even know if he onto pf like that anyway it’s mostly pat the drummer and he was the one who made that comment he didn’t ellaborate but during the red tour (so while the seeds of earth raditude prolly started) they covered time and pat was singing and doing the lead guitar on it so i feel he was the one who came with that

ima have to dig back that quote if i can

the conceptual part and just the way the songs are set up i guess and the way the melodies are, songs like Hey You and Another Brick Pt 2. and just because that album is so popular with people of that age group tbh like my dad.

im sure he probably likes all the pink floyd though if i had to guess. theres no way he doesnt like dark side lol

rivers def must love some dark side, not just because they covered it by now but bc it’s just that big and rivers is a pop culture lover period, and not this indie hero we like to see him as: for example he has just started really getting into elliott smith and i feel that’s because elliott just hasn’t got hits like that, but it’s crazy to think of since it’s connection to him so maybe he wasn’t crazy for his music bc it’s too mellow and rivers comes from a metal background, so for that i could assume the wall doesn’t click that much to him but i think the former theory of the hit factor is more likely so im sure he likes or at least admires the wall - this the same guy who gushes over some whitney houston hits, rivers really is a pop music lover (not just pop as the genre but what’s literally popular) - charli mentions his fascination for pop songwriting:

(while we at it ppl please let’s stop sleeping on pre hyper pop charli)

i think the source of the PF comment by pat just came back to me and i don’t think i have access anymore to dig it up but ima ask around

  • Mar 9, 2021

either way the first sessions of raditude some of it ended up in the deluxe that includes prettiest girl and run over by a truck so my assumption (take with grain of salt) is that’s where his comparison plays, at least on prettiest girl - i know it doesn’t sound PF or psychedelic but it is a weezer record after all so, remember rivers sees slipknot in the greatest man that ever lived lol they just make it weezer, and not obvious like that but ig prettiest girl does gives some indication??? in contrast to the other weezer material if you get my drift????
