He is a bit to mellow this is true.glad to hear him in his bop bag. I’ve been meaning to check more of that song machine project out. I heard a few of the singles when they dropped. I was into the one with Elton John a lot.

the rentals is the band of matt sharp - weezer original bassist and back vocalist (all the quirky high pitch back vocals on blue and pinkerton is him) he kinda did his band and stole the whole gimmick of pinkerton (guitars making love with moog synths)

they did this performance together when they were touring, iconic rentals song:

(this was in france! famous french tv show)

and then recorded together a cover of gary numan:

dead man is a western movie with young johnny depp, he’s watching it bc we brought it up in the neil young thread as the next album to listen to bc neil young did the score to it and it’s f***ing killer, but so he’s watching the whole movie instead

there’s also billy bob thornton and iggy pop in it
