orchestral arrangements were good, drums were good (+drum sound), album flowed well. pretty good singing. i think style wise it was a good direction for them to try and it generally worked, but the instrumentation isn't that exciting for me to listen to and mostly just stays at the "pleasant" level where theres really nothing wrong with it.

dont usually care that much about lyrics, there were some good ones for sure (dead roses) but i wasnt a fan of some of them that took a more blunt/literal approach. im just personally not a huge fan of that style usually (was telling ithaka yesterday) and it takes me out of it. ex. of ones i didnt care for:

"I should get back to these Zoom interviews"
"my wife is upstairs"
"Homework or memes, slime or blackpink"
the rhyming of sad, mad, bad on first song

but thats a pretty small complaint for the lyrics overall.

I didn't hate any of the songs, but there were a lot of alright ones that just didnt do a whole lot for me melodically. not from being unmemorable, idk why, just didnt connect with me to the point where i want to come back to them after my first 5 or so listens. the worst offender of all this is All My Favorite songs, my least favorite. the simple melody thats the main part of chorus just does absolutely nothing for me and feels basic, and the verses are meh too

favorites: Numbers, Dead Roses, Bird with a Broken Wing

least favorites: All My Favorite Songs, Screens, Here Comes the Rain

id probably give it like a 6/10, so its a little above average for me
