Hell yea, I went with a group of friends at the time. My little cousin actually met Brendon Urie and Rivers backstage before the show (my aunt's friend knew the owner of the venue). I didn't find out until after the show that she went though, but I most likely would've been able to meet Rivers if we knew at the time

Damn man that’s super dope. Weezer team was supposed to hook me up backstage passes for that tour. Long story short it didn’t pan out but it’s all good. Don’t even know what I would talk to the band about tbh, lol.

From what I've heard online, the band are pretty chill, Pat is the most talkative one in the group, but Scott is pretty chill to talk to as well. That sucks though, but tbh if it makes you feel any better, it would've been during an era that Rivers didn't have the freedom he wanted in his music. I think if Rivers is having fun (like for example when they toured for Teal), that is always gonna be the best time to meet them, the music always reflects

Is it arrogant to wonder if there was some correlation between them sampling Kanye and the project I did? Timelines match up. And I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but I do know certain labels reached out to me about its use.

At the risk of sounding like a has been lol, I had a nice lil 15 minutes of fame back in 2015 for doing a Kanye and weezer mashup album called yeezer. It got big enough where there was mainstream attention and weezer’s social media was linking it and rivers had tweets alluding to it. Unfortunately back then those kind of things got DMCA’d a lot quicker so it was hard for people to listen to it so it kind of died out over the years. I still get messages about it occasionally which is cool.
