it’s on death to false metal it’s kinda confusing as to who consider it an album or not

so oasis did this compilation way back after their second studio album that consists of all the b sides they had put out well the fans favorites according to them but the album wasn’t marketed as a compilation it was named after a song of the tracklist and had a whole photo shoot done for the cover so if you didn’t know any better it would’ve been a new oasis album and in that way it kinda stayed bc of how good the album flows

rivers was inspired by this as a oasis fan and did this odds and ends album - instead of b sides it would be songs the band recorded but never dropped - even the fans didn’t know of, so that alone it’s skeptical as to if that makes it a compilation but it still can be if it’s untouched

but they reproduced the whole thing to step it up and mix it rather than leave the songs as they were originally done but most importantly rivers re-recorded new vocals for some parts so that kinda crosses the line bc if the album has a title and cover and songs unheard and re-recordings it’s hardly not a new album

what’s makes it weird is the song selection is all over the place you go back from sessions to 1997 all the way to this song he did with the fans in 2009 so sonically it’s crazy

so that’s why some debate it make it in the canon of official studio albums or compilations ranks

death to false metal is in such an odd space, i mean its technically NOT a b side album but it FEELS like a b side album, cuz like i listen to it and nothing ever really sticks out to me

think turning up is fun and cool concept and actually since it was made before raditude dropped was what i wish raditude was more to be, it sounds like what raditude should sound like

blowin my stack is best track imo, also like unbreak my heart cover. I'm a robot might legit be one of my least fav weezer songs tho lol.

yah that was one of my dads fav songs as a kid so i loved the cover automatically. Idk why but im a robot just annoys the s*** out of me

just tried to listen to it again thinking maybe i was overreacting but NO its legit HORRIBLE
it sounds like the sound of Make Believe taken to its most EXTREME conclusion
