The lyrics are very great but if they weren't Weezer I wouldn't really appreciate them as much. They fit the song really well, but place it next to lyrics on White or even Pacific Daydream...it's pretty standard "mad" "sad" bad" rhyme schemes if you really look into it. Everything else super solid tho
mmmm i can see that
but i find a meaning in them
when he sings all my favorite ppl make me mad
i kinda see it as he talks about superstars
so idk that line hard
Blue
Pinkerton
Maladroit/Green
The rest of the albums are a wash for me with a few good tracks here and there, including ewbaite and white (actually got into weezer around the time ewbaite came out lol).
o like you mean as in too hard to separate one from the other?
y does he sound kinda like chester bennington on parts of heart songs
haha deepsleep said that of a song from pacific daydream

Oh no they're all very different in style
That's why I've always found the "stagnant/formulaic" criticism of weezer dumb, they're prob one of the most dynamic bands in rock. I just mean that I find most of the albums past maladroit mid in the sense of poor songwriting/lyrics/musicianship. A lot of that has gotten better recently tho--one of the reasons I bothered checking up on them after seeing this thread.

word it’s all good there’s super eclectic opinions itt so it’s cool but you spot on man, for a band to go from a song like perfect situation to greatest man that ever lived on the next album and then a lil wayne a feat is just insane - whether you like it or not they keep it fun and ill take that over ANY other 90s acts keeping it safe tame and boring, irrelevant (say what u will but even new pixies ain’t getting me hard...)
that’s why im happy even the orchestra album is short and sweet and has pop factor to it, we don’t want a literal snooze classical music album - keep it weezer and fun, catchy!
glad to have you on board brother let’s get it
thought i knew is so good
wow a praise from blah!
i can see why you like it
that’s the song the guitarist brian wrote and sings on (he the sassy one on the cover, far left)
Cold Dark World sounds kinda like something a serial killer would make
prolly some roll out blog ? @Bad_Finger_Boogie

yeah I dunno if they've said anything about that site yet actually
i'm gonna listen to the other 4 songs but they don't count for the album imo

I only think of Red in my mind with an alt track list that replaces the worst of the album with the bonus tracks. Flows a lot better to me and is more emotionally impactful.
I needa learn say it aint so on guitar
