kinda hate how an ama of new weezer on reddit is basically “is it gonna be as pop? need to sound like more of my weezer”
man you’re getting an orchestra album just enjoy
planning on being itt when album drops

I get that dude but the way they have decided to market it makes it appear like it’s not going to be modern or commercial sounding, but this guy is implying the opposite. It’s strange to reference trying to go back to the 60’s and 70’s with Rivers also bringing up how it’s influenced by Nilsson Sings Newman and it not amount to much.

We don't know if it's a troll yet though, who knows. The other link I linked said it was great and he gave the name of the site he reviews for so that automatically makes it more legitimate.
"Not sure where I’d rank. Nothing on the classics and not as strong as White but potentially on par with EWBAITE."
That sounds good to me too honestly, nothing to really worry about yet.
Hi
you’re in for live listening itt when it drops???
@Ryuka ?

nah okh way higher than this watch
it could go either way being troll or not. Rivers describes stuff weirdly all the time. Black Album for example was described initially as the darkest Weezer album yet lol. I could definitely see the band having a different interpretation of the album than the listener would.
With that being said, it seems like an actual published review seems to contradict this so idk. I'm fine with pop, and honestly, it was never going to be similar to the 90's albums so I'm not sure why that's even a discussion point. Van Weezer has a better chance of that.
u said it was your fav thread
yeah but like it's probably better to just say maybe because no one knows what could happen in 3 days like I could get like banned or something
