i understand people not liking green but something about it makes it just kinda work for me. it sounds nice if im in the right mood
might take it above white for my #3 tbh. but blue and pink are definitely a tier above
the guitar solos always following the exact same pattern is kind of ridiculous but i appreciate the audacity of it lol
green is amazing it’s a killer power pop album period stop asking something to be what it is not

For what its worth i love that ERA
Like I get rivers was a broken man after the pinkerton sessions but him writing a notebook on how to write the perfect pop songs than using that method on the green album, resulting in every song following the same structure with no variation feels mad passive aggressive
I still like some cuts on it
do you like Don't Let Go I love that song

yeah, the simplicity of it is endearing to me

it was a hit tho so it worked they are fun pop songs
But if there comes a day
You should turn your heart away
it just came out
I ain’t no stan, but that’s how I feel. I’ve grown to like all of their weird phases but almost all of their albums are spotty. Those 5 don’t have any real major problems for me so they have to be in the top 5.
1. Blue
2. Pinkerton
3. White
4. Ok Human
5. green
:pog:
But if there comes a day
You should turn your heart away
I'll be down
On my knees
Begging for that girl to stay
it was a hit tho so it worked they are fun pop songs
I agree but its so inconsistent despite how composed and tightened everything is
They have a lot of great intros
My Name Is Jonas, Tired of Sex, Don’t Let Go, American Gigolo, Troublemaker, Memories, California Kids
Rivers was on some brian wilson s*** with this super impressed. I still f*** more guitar heavy albums but some unreal songs need to listen again.
