It did have some heavy Brian influence though on certain songs . I really loved how string heavy it was, his voice sounds so perfect over them and it honestly does remind me of RAM era mccartney, that string laden creative power pop but it’s uniquely rivers in every way. I love the lyrics i heard but i cant wait to relisten n read along w the lyrics

Really cool they’re doing an album with instrumentation like this then dropping van weezer with a completely different sound later

also the piano on this album is really excellent rivers songwriting ability is ridiculous
