fr that s*** would be tight and exciting altho i never root for weezer to pander the what id call steve albini crowd, it’s just that since they visited that crossover several times now from blue all the way to white it would make it sound cool and different to make it come out even more rough recorded

Go right into Pet Sounds, that is one of the only albums I love I would consider essential listening

my second obsession next to weezer is the bbs, i have a big thread for them also on ktt

id say imo sunflower is their white album it’s more like modern production and has more modern sounding structures and pop music but also has hints of their peak creativity with songs taken from smile their holy grail so you get an easy accessible first entry but also a good impression of their greatness that is yet to dig into even tho this album is still like top 3 into their stuff - it makes for the best introduction to let it sink in

it was originally done as such, brian is deaf from one ear bc of his fathers beating so he only produced in mono

that’s weird tho they did release bunch of stereos since

but for that the best experience are the fan remixes imoo
