I finished the album. Pretty solid stuff
Really shreds on the album, what’s crazy is some of the “slower” songs like “Death and Destruction’ and “Burndt Jamb” were some of the ones I enjoyed most.

i know!!!! d&d has actually maybe my fav weezer solo lol ik it’s crazy they got so many good ones and crazier ones but the way this oje is layered, this massive wall of sound of fuzz on this ballad like bleeding all over it, love it

burndt jamb is one of my fav ever by them, wish rivers did more of those exotic verses 😫😫😫

THIS LIVE VERSION scott improvises a lil bassline before they go into it and it’s the best s*** ever it needs to be sampled so bad

my other fav is slave - the bridge is one of my fav section ever in a weezer song even tho it’s super small (the little break down before it goes onto the guitar solo) love this acoustic live they did for it

Into those songs it’s hard sometimes to pick a favourite green song. Blue I know my favourites more.

what i love about burdnt jamb is the big ROCKING section between the verses that’s kinda like the chorus even tho it’s instrumental

like the album seeds was made over the fans reacting to the green album saying they couldn’t rock heavy anymore and so he was like aight bet f*** it and shredded more than ever and like even on a more chill laid back song like d&d rivers was like there you go F***ERS

if you were impressed wait til you get to ewbaite!!! it doesn’t rock heavier but rivers does some tapping and s***, it has some instrumental guitar songs

he started way back as a metal head into speed metal but s*** wasn’t cool anymore when nirvana came around and toned it down - you can hear how fast it changed from the blue demo to the final version like on say it aint so he’s allll over the place (and goes hard on the kurt type vocals lol)

but now he says van weezer the album coming in may will embrace everything weezer has set the rules to not be when they started, so sounds like there’s gonna be some really 80s glam metal s*** guitar work
