Elvis took the predator/pedophile s*** to anther level didn’t he marry one of his 16 year old victims ?
he hooked up with priscilla while she was 15 iirc and waited until she was 18 to marry her, she claims he never slept with her or made any moves while she was underage but eitherway it's f***ing creepy and weird, he knew at the time it was weird too because he told her it could never get out to the press
we’re on a music forum full of f***ing nerds you don’t think we know what we’re talking about?
Users who s*** on the Beatles mostly have no idea what they are on about.
any sensible music fan will tell you that Miles Davis, Rakim, James Brown, John Coltrane, and Prince were just as influential as The Beatles. it doesn't come down to "white music elitists s*** on 'minority music'' nah thats just called being an ignorant dumbass
now that everything has calmed down, the reason i was kinda bugging out is because a lot of times online, when beatles/rock threads are made, it always gives me this vibe of contempt towards other genres like they aren’t talented because they use samplers and synths and not playing the “more skilled” guitars
first post of yours i agree with, never got the massive hate boner for synthesizers through the 70s and 80s when rock bands started to try to incorporate them into their music and the ones that heavily started using them got brushed off and called pop trash

yeah yeah, and the thing on theory
when i was talking about “not following theory” and “constraints”
i’m talking about stuff like staying in key the whole time and arbitrary chord-making/progressions
a lot of it elsewise is just common sense like note intervals and what not but it’s good to know what you’re doing purposefully
i just hate the whole notion about having to be a god of musical theory to be a good musician and that’s just not true lol

that’s probably my issue, i feel too cynical about online music discussion because of how weird like that it gets
You need to try harder when coming up with thread ideas
i'll work on it
