I think the pandemic exacerbated this problem.

There is a party in the USA called Communist Party of the USA. They have a fairly long history and used to be more important than currently. Anyway, they released a poster where they satirize Caleb Maupin, Infrared Haz and Peter Coffin.

Who, you might ask? Exactly. No regular person is even gonna understand this poster. For me that is the sign that these people cannot relate to a world outside their social media bubble anymore, to the point they even put feuds of a legitimate political party against C-list Twitch streamers on their political advertising.

I see right-wingers complain about the most inane s*** that happens online and make that their entire world view. No offense but I also think of DavidP here, it seemed like his entire worldview was seen through the filter of the internet
