People be complaining about the dumbest s***
Oh no! Im saving money on gas, commute, and get to sleep in for an extra hr or 2 😔
My job doesn't have any availability to work in the office, and I'm on the fence about getting a second job, because I'm also "conditioning" myself to go to back to school so my nose are in the books almost every waking hour I'm not at work.
What company is it so I can apply
Work socializing is good for your social skills bc they’re usually people you have nothing in common with
forced interaction is my favorite
Soon as they tell me to go the office ima quit in 2 seconds but they can't force me to do that
Was doing city breaks with my girl and friend group in the middle of the week and OP wanna go to the office
If you're not a parent or taking care of another person there is no reason for people to work from home. It's another thing that will make society as a whole even more depressed.
Man shut your ass up with that subjective ass take

Man I'm not wasting 2 hours everyday in traffic just to do MS teams meetings and do stuff from office that I can do it from home just to interact with fake ass corpo people
Corpo bootlicker
feels like they reading a powerpoint slide
I have people I regularly see at church but thats about it, and its usually ladies who are married or ppl way older than me. I don't really run into a lot of other guys in my age group there
when I Was working at a job I liked a few years ago I had a lot of friends there and was doing way better than I am today
Why aren’t you working at the job you liked anymore?
forced interaction is my favorite
Why? You thrive off social awkwardness?
Only friends at my work are fr my IT Infra team, we meet once or twice per month at the office and twice or thrice per month at a pub
It sounds like your social anxiety would exist even without WFH.
What efforts have you made to social with people they didn't rely on the forced socialization of going into work?
Whole company shifted to hybrid model but you are still expected to be 5/5 here except us IT dep cus we would quit on sight and the CIO got our backs pushing it to the CEO to leave us alone
One step at a time op. I kno ppl clowning you but i have this same issue especially when i take months off of gigs. Cant let yourself get wrapped inside. Go outside even if its to get a coffee

cringe fuels me it runs through my veins it’s my life source
imo workplace socialisation is just forced and often doesn’t bloom into actual friendships or anything of substance.
so your wfh is saving u from that in a way.
try joining clubs and similar stuff as others suggested

fair...but OP seems to be implying that it's all he relied on for regular socialization before WFH kicked in. Like he actually called it a "stable community of people you connect with daily"
Not saying it isn't beneficial but its not what one should rely on
