It's her first album with a lot of pop appeal and attempts at catchy songs and a lot of different sounds of pop music and I think she made it all work and it has a lot of personality, also one of my favs this year

Tears in the club still one of my favorite songs of the year (don’t care if it dropped last year)

someone I aint even know who she was prior to a recommendation from a date (that didn't end good) this year that turned out to release an AOTY contender.

Him dropping his best project since TM104 this year had me like

Unironically Mr Morale - thought Kendrick was gonna continue dropping stuff like Damn which was solid but very pop centric but he dropped a deeply personal album and I grew to like every song off of it

Mr. Morale is a classic kendrick album in every way
just like all of his others

and just like his next one.

you gotta understand Mr. Morale is overly hated cuz its his last project to drop, just like Damn was before Morale,
the trend will continue, watch all the praise Morale will get after his next "dud"

I think Drake's musical choices have always been very calculated and safe, I don't mind him jumping on trends but I'll only give credit if I feel like he's putting his own creative touch on it, a good example for that is IYRTITL

I agree with a lot of ppl's sentiments that I don't really play Mr. Morale like the rest of his albums, and I did play DAMN and the others a lot
