besides the industrial sound, Yeezus doesnt sound like Death Grips.
show me a preYeezus Death Grips album with drill and reggae influences. also most DG songs are much closer to Electronic than hip hop whereas Yeezus is still very much rooted in hip hop.
Kanye has never been shy to admit who influences his music and he has named a million other things and people as influences for Yeezus but not Death Grips.
why are r words still talking about death grips > yeezus
like what reggae and drill influences are on Yeezus?
Blood On The Leaves? Hold My Liquor?
There's Reggae samples on guilt trip, I am a God and send it up. And it features assassin on I'm in it. And then drill with keef and louie

similar polarizing criticisms and people detracting to this day
thread is vague af though people just threw all kinds of albums out. i dont see any similarities with station to station unless youre just saying d***ged out vibe i guess
Wym by token?
it’s the one album the newer gen is always on about instead of their earlier stuff lmao

because it came out in 2007
thats it honestly, having more of the sound of that time period. i think thats a big reason why younger fans connect with it more instead of OK computer
and its just very good and catchier than most of their albums anyway
im just assuming op meant albums that either changed how the genre sounded (even tho yeezus didnt really do that) or was in the face of the established norms of the music industry of their eras
