The band ‘Felt’ & ‘The Magnetic Fields’ are a couple of my favorites , sleater-kinney is really good

Prefer Juju tbh, I agree his writing is better but it sonically sounds more intriguing to me and I tend to gravitate towards Siouxse's vocals more.

Both great though, 2 of my fav albums ever.

I remember Myke C-town from Deadenedhiphop saying this was one of his favorite albums and I gave it a try .I also heard their music when I was thrifting and this was the first album I listened to from them

Love the Cure but over time became a bigger fan of Siouxse

speaking of siouxse, tinderbox is underrated. 92, cities in dust, cannons whew

Same, their drums are unmatched and so many dark and infectious riffs.

Easily one of the greatest bands and THE greatest gothic band ever.

& The Scream, Dreamhouse, Kaleidoscope.

Even had Smith playing backup on Hyæna, Banshees had a huge influence on The Cure's sound.

Peepshow severely underrated too, one hell of a discography

Both fantastic but Laughing Stock got the most beautiful soundscape ever

Nico for underrated artists, arguably the pioneer of the Gothic sound.

Yeah I'd have to agree with Laughing Stock beign better, but its close either way,

ngl I listened Desertshore and hated it. But I get the appeal and impact

What didn't you like about it?
One of my most listened to albums.

She keeps the same vocal tone throughout the entire thing and I need some variation or im just gonna lose interest

Nah she does switch it up but it's not that drastic of a change, that's just her style so maybe she's not for you.

I'd recommend Chelsea Girls though, little more accessible.

The Birthday Party (Nick Cave's first band) deserves more love btw.

tbh never thought about it but their earlier music reminds me a lot of sonic youth compared to The Hot Rock album
