dating scene is gonna be even more focused on apps. it’s kinda weird to ask someone on a date in person when a mask is covering half of their face

Holy f*** I didn’t even think about this
Buffets were gross from the rip and it's not because of covid.
Food on open air spaces
Exposed to old people coughing or young kids that barely wash their hands
The food etting drier and drier by the second waiting for the next batch
Limited quality control
yeah... no thanks I'm good.
But I love Buffets so many options to chose from and I loved the self service aspect of it
asian buffets were my favorite too Smfh
He said it on the Joe Rogan interview he did a couple days ago, his reasoning is that people who use that Neuralink s*** he's planning on creating will eventually be able to communicate with their minds, like texting with your brain. Its some bullshit cause I doubt theres a market for cutting your skull open and sticking a microchip into your brain, but hell I guess we'll see what he comes out with
Ah ok hadn’t heard of that.
Yeah for real that’s some serious bullshit, also I can’t think of any technology that’s ever made something anywhere near fundamental as language redundant within 5-10 yrs of creation / adoption
Elon Musk says language has 5-10 years before it becomes obsolete, will only be used for sentimental reasons
Elon Musk is also a massive dumbass
everything will go back to normal once/if a vaccine is mass produced
i think as a society we start bouncing back summer 2021
economy gonna be f***ed for a while
In America? Not much. Infact, I get the feeling people are going to be much worse to one another. Only thing different is people might be going outside casually much more. But that could be because it'll be summer when it "ends" here.
I do see a lot of changes in how we consume our media (film, TV, news, etc) and shopping though. I feel like this made people realize how convenient online shopping and ordering food truly is.
Cant see it happening but hopefully more people wash their hands

and you believe him because
Long term:
It’s a wrap for malls and giant department stores.
In-person college classes will have to vastly improve to warrant paying thousands of dollars a year for something that is apparently just as good online. Universities will really have to earn their prestigious academic titles again.
The push for free universal healthcare will grow even stronger as many will struggle to pay medical expenses.
Food/package delivery will move exclusively to automated robots
i dont think that these changes will be as extreme as you make them out to be over the long term
malls and dept stores will be ok, ones that were really struggling already will close, larger chains will downsize the amount of stores open. walmart will fill the holes left by them.
universities will not really change, maybe just with the addition of mandatory recorded lectures for classes exceeding a certain number of students. why would colleges just stop using these large spaces if they have them? i can see a cheaper online option being offered from some universities, but this only works for some areas of studies if you want to integrate with in person classes. you'd have to have professors/lecturers dedicated to teaching smaller classes online (generally liberal arts), which at that point just means more faculty being hired meaning a price raise, or having grad or phd students be assigned to lecturing online. the online component would have to be it's own separate thing most likely.
i don't see how this helps universal healthcare, not that it isnt already popular. the issue at the forefront of the virus is in shortages of equipment, beds, and staff, not in price.
i agree that automation will be accelerated. retail stores will see more self service kiosks and less cashiers, and logistics/delivery will see more r&d focus in automation
Only fat people use Uber eats and all the junkies and nerds
tbh agree i finally stopped ordering so much uber eats i felt gross

I honestly agree with everything. I definitely think people are gonna be a lot more anti-social and racist towards minorities in America. Asians are gonna get discriminated a lot.
