So I have a ton of non-fiction s*** to read/that I want to read, but I haven't had much time for fiction lately and mostly its because I've always been weary about potentially wasting my time with a story I won't enjoy.

I'm not really a sucker for overarching messages, but i enjoy fantasy/alternate world/dystopian type stuff and s*** that is very character focused if that makes sense. lmk what I should get next. thanks.

ASOIAF is by far my favorite book series

I'd assume you've already read them considering you like fantasy and character focused stories.

A Storm Of Swords and A Feast For Crows is peak story telling

And the crazy thing is it’s apparently all in the same universe

    The Locked Tomb Trilogy.

There’s still one book left (Alecto the Ninth), but if it manages to stack up to these two this is gonna be a classic series. It’s incredible.

A gothic horror, sci-fiction/fantasy dark comedy about necromancers in space. It’s the s*** and everyone here needs to read it.
