He's got a point about how learning a few phrases will always be appreciated tho
not really appreciated but it is necessary for you to learn as a tourist
Hope all y’all that are planning on taking a trip to Japan are up on the churning/credit cards points game and know how to get a free business class round trip flight on some of the goat airlines that fly there (JAL and ANA)
idk if this has already been mentioned but cash is preferred out there. get a coin purse.

It’s good to have yen but I was good with my credit card for the most part (s/o Chase Sapphire’s no overseas fees)
Following up on this:
Lovvvvvvedddddd how amazing the food was in connection to how much it cost. So INSANELY cheap for some of the best food I’ve had in my life. Love all the food I’ve had in Europe, but it’s so much more expensive.
On the other hand, dessert and snacks were just not my style compared to Europe.
Clothing was also completely on the other end price wise — INSANELY expensive lmao. Only ended up getting Christmas gifts for family cause it was so pricey.
Some of my fav places/things to do: Teams Lab Planet (such a unique experience), Mori Art Museum, Disney Sea, Go Karting in Shibuya streets at night, going to Odaiba to see all the Digimon places in real life (shouts out my man @Nujabes), and of course flying JAL business class and peeping the JAL lounge at Haneda airport (get in the credit cards points game if you aren’t already)
Worst part by far was the heat/humidity. Probably best to avoid traveling in the summer if you can
Subway system was probably the best I’ve ever seen (Stockholm was the only one that comes to mind as being close). Such a wild difference from London last summer where there was no AC on some trains and it was blazing hot
