on the recommendation from my long time therapist I started going to this men's group run by the ManKind Project. I went once 4 years ago and it just wasn't it. this time it's been incredible. Earlier this week at the weekly meeting I learned something about myself that had never made it out of my subconsciousness, a way of coping that I learned as a child. not even years of therapy or intense psychedelic journeys were able to shine a light on this

this weekend is what's called the new warrior training adventure, it's kept purposely vague to harken back to the old old days when men would come and take a boy from his mother and he would be initiated, become a real man, no longer a boy. obviously it's tamer, my life ain't on the line or anything, but I am really excited about it. I've never felt so supported around men as I have during these meetings, I just can't wait to see where my life goes from here. I'm optimistic in a way I haven't ever felt before
