It's hard to explain but there exists a very sinister path for every girl which starts with Frankenstein, Wuthering Heights, Little Women, then ends with The Secret History by Donna Tartt

Frankenstein is simply one of my favourite books of all time! I'd recommend moving it further up your list and opting for the 1818 text version if you can
I've read Wuthering Heights and found it a bit boring. It had some good parts, but overall a bit uninteresting.
I'll definitely check it out, didn't know different versions existed. I usually read everything in Dutch, but can also read lit in English so maybe I'll do the 1818 text in English. Is the prose archaic or?

what didnt u like about it? i only read like the first chapter but i was eventually gonna read the whole thing
To me it felt like the story was building up to something big, thats how reading it felt like. But in the end the 'big thing' didn't come. It's a nice story about love and revenge tho. Shows how society was like back in the day. So if I were you I'd still read it.
Also didn't really like the style of writing, but I read it in translation, so that could also be it.
