Every artist is different and depending on what they put out they can take more time between projects. roddy and post malone havent dropped in over a year but that’s because their music had more staying power and did a few features that kept them in people’s minds.

i think rae sremmurd is really fumbling the bag not dropping and they’re both proven to not be very good solo (i liked jxm solo album more tbh)

nba youngboy is one of the best rappers out but he drops way too much music to keep up with unless you’re always listening to new stuff or youre a huge youngboy fan
