What you know about dangerous minds soundtrack first parental advisory cd I got. only wanted it cause of gangsters paradise but I remember this song too
Cam'ron even though his legacy obviously ended up being really good for not ever truly being a top rapper at any time.
He has hits and all but everyone knows Jeremih should be wayyyy bigger
Those wounds are self inflicted tho

this facts
Camron was top 5 from 02-05
But he still was a part of some bad situations that stunted his growth
Even dating back to his first deal.
He should have been a top 3 commercial success type of rapper at his peak frfr
Juelz Santana
Cole (he should have been bigger than Kendrick)
Wale
Big Krit (slightly. Not a superstar but at least a couple of gold albums)
Lupe Fiasco
Lol what? Wayne has one of the biggest runs ever.
If his team weren't so rubbish he honestly could be a lot bigger then what he currently is and a lot more respected across the board although yes as it is now is fine if the unreleased gems that he made all those years ago made albums his projects would all be classics instead of constantly being debated over he should have a discography on kanye level rn
Young Dro
Key!
100s (had a great thing going!)
Random ass name but Mickey Avalon was a MySpace white rapper that would of been huge in the SoundCloud era
Keef’s career has turned out well (considering the rest of that movement) but he was primed to be a bigger commercial star… he wasn’t ready/didn’t want it tho

Sounds like your mixing up respect with popularity.
Wayne did get impacted from those label issues but he still remained popular.
Nelly and Ludacris(who both debuted a year after Wayne) didn't have those label issues and they lost their popularity in music after the early 2010's(really the late 2000's tbh).
Wayne never lost his popularity like that though even when he had to go on a hiatus.
