What exactly is wrong with this? What do you guys want artists to do with their promo?

Album was f***ing garbage but this promo is creative and cool as hell

Lol I remember seeing people saying Abel was doing too much with After Hours with the new look like damn why do y’all want artists to be boring all the time?

You might find it cool but I think it's a little cringe, I get what they were trying to do but the album didn't have a ongoing medical/addiction/doctor theme to do all of this.
An album called Revival could have so many different interpretations, I feel like they relied on a 10 year old trope (prescribed medication, relapse era had a similar theme but it actually fit the album more), which is lazy to me (just my opinion)
It's creative but of the mark for the album imo, def on brand for eminem though. It's creative but not the most effective

Yeah I get that. It is a bit corny but I appreciate any artist/label going the extra mile for creative promo for the album because that seems like a lost art these days.

Well I mean yeah? I’m kind of just lumping everything together lol the suit, stache, glasses, bloody nose, etc. It did make the music a bit more* entertaining personally because it was a whole new persona which you don’t see too often these days.

I’m sure the tour would have just amplified that for me as well.

To each their own I suppose.

I enjoy different aesthetics for different eras but I don’t think it really has much bearing on my overall enjoyment of an album
