I would say that Kendrick has already surpassed Wayne artistically. Especially since Wayne went on a hot streak of mostly trash from like 2008 to 2015.
However his creativity and rap skill at his peak is undeniable, and the fact that many of y'all itt are tryna write that off to d*** ride Kendrick and say that Wayne hasn't released anything better than Section 80 and DAMN is making me absolutely f***ing sick.
I said better than GKMC and TPAB. I'll give you DAMN and Section 80 but Wayne truly has not made a better project than those two albums I listed first

Love him, he's one of the GOATS, but Wayne never dropped a TPAB bro.
It’s never gonna happen. And I’m a big Kendrick fan. He’s a Andre 3k tier talent now. He’s never gonna be in that Wayne, Kanye, Drake, Hov bracket. Which he could’ve been but he’s been awol
Jay-Z and Wayne are as close to a consensus as there will ever be for the greatest rappers of all time.
What can Kendrick do to get in that convo? He's generally considered the best of the 2010's rappers, but not quite at GOAT level.
Considering people already considered Jay-Z and Wayne at that level 10 years after their first albums, and it's been ten years for Kendrick, what does it take at this point?
Is it because he's not quite as prolific over that time that he's not top 3? Is he just not skilled enough? What's your take?
Keep doing exactly what he isndoing for another decade
Bro Kendrick had two verses this year that shut everything down for a second alone. Don't tell me he ain't hot. Wait til his next album lmao
I appreciate that Kendrick puts so much time and effort into his albums, I really do, but theres something about that urgency of needing to dominate and be number 1 that Hov and Wayne had, that just makes it more difficult in a sense. Like if hov took 3 years between each album when he was younger, every album would be reasonable doubt / Blueprint level. Same for Wayne. If Wayne wasnt dropping 75 guest verses in a year, multiple mixtapes, all at the same time, imagine how much better the Carter series would be.
would Biggie still be considered one of the GOATs if instead of 2 classic albums he had 5 decent ones with a lot of hits?
This nigga Kendrick released three classic albums in a row. He’s top 5 DOA if we’re being honest.
Ain't nobody playing Wayne in 2021 either. They play his old s*** if anything lmao + wasn't this convo about who's the GOAT makes better music? Cause everyone calls Kendrick a GOAT now too
look kendrick came up in the backpack lane and got a dre cosign
wayne came up with the hot boyz on some street s***
in hip hop, its hard to compare biggie, nas, jay and wayne, who are street/hustler rap legends(althought waynes street credentials have been debate, BUT he claimed he would kidnap beyonce on record ), to a more poetic/introspective/hood reporter rapper like kenny or ye or lupe or even pac
it is what is it, they hold different positions in the beautiful landscape that is hip hop
Kendrick don’t have a massive crossover hit(s) on the level that Wayne and Jay do
Jay Z was the goat before he had a cross over hit.
average person in 2021 is definitely putting Kendrick over Wayne cause of recency bias
Maybe if your first rap album was DAMN
Love him, he's one of the GOATS, but Wayne never dropped a TPAB bro.
Not once itt did I say he did.

Both them verses was doo doo but it was exciting ngl. He a heat of the moment type of nigga. Like with that boring ass Control verse. It's a bunch of woofing not much wordplay like Wayne and Hov be doing
How you got young niggas like Roddy and YB who speak highly of you but you don’t reach to them and get em on a song or give em a verse
When people look back on a rapper’s legacy, they don’t care about how long their breaks between projects were. yall funny for trying to use this against kendrick.
If you can't see that Kendrick has surpassed Wayne by now, then you just don't know music and that's OK.
Niggas let KTT make them delusional lol
