  • I’m in the market tor a couch. The old tenant at my apartment left his old vintage couch, and it’s literally on its last leg. I’m not trying to spend too much. But from what I’m reading, people say you have to spend at least a rack on a couch if you want to keep it for longer than 3 years. I’ve been looking a these ~$500 options on sites like Wayfair. S*** like this:

    wayfair.com/UIXE--Copenhagen-73-Sofa-Couch-for-Two-People-with-Pillowed-Back-Cushions-and-Rounded-Arms-SERT1057-L305-K~SERT1057.html?refid=FR49-SERT1057_17556538&PiID%5B%5D=17556538

Anyone have experience copping a couch in this tier of price? You regret it?

Not a fan of sectionals tbh. I prefer the look of a normal couch. Plus I still have the old tenant’s recliner that works perfect, so I can have it adjacent with the couch.

depending on your apt don’t underestimate the ones where each seat comes separate. you may think it’s uncomfortable but if you get a good one you never even notice

makes it 1000000000x easier to move and also you have a lot of freedom on how you want to lay it out

i got a 5 piece with an ottoman and i can move the ottoman to where the center corner piece meets the other seats of the couch and have a huge couch bed. it’s great for movie nights or when guests are over

I would not buy a couch online without trying it first in person. Avoid anything under 500 if you tryna keep it fr and it ain’t just a throw away

I spent like $1100 for my last one and way worth it

The cheapest couch u cop shld b like ikea price (or just ikea) if u intend to have it longer than 2 yrs

The cheap cheap wayfair ones r not gonna b comfortable at all and will need to be replaced either bc u hate it or bc it degrades

U can always get a modular couch and slowly add more pieces too

This Serta one seems to be a bit higher quality, hardwood frame and all. Idk though, there are a lot of reviews like you say where after a year it’s gone to s***.
