This Serta one seems to be a bit higher quality, hardwood frame and all. Idk though, there are a lot of reviews like you say where after a year it’s gone to s***.
i had a wayfair one for a bit and the frame held up but the actual material started ripping at the seams if u actually use it w high frequency
but it was also just not comfortable which was my main issue--it was fine for a bit but i wanted a couch 2 actually relax on and that looked nice
the one i think(?) ur talking abt seems rly small and not cushioned at all. id also note the context of the reviews--if the 4-5 star ones are all like 'great for temporary couch solution' or 'great for some niche room on the third floor attic cubbyhole where i really dont expect a large number of people sitting on this thing' thats saying a lot

I am looking for a smaller couch tbh, something less wide than 80 inches so it doesnt take up too much space in my apartment. But yeah I kept reading reviews and I’m not that impressed.
I’m thinking about going used but the risk of bedbugs and s*** like that scares the hell out of me.

that 79” is interesting
Anyway, still in search but I've decided to price up. I'm thinking about a loveseat instead of a full couch.
havertys.com/products/product-page/sandy-loveseat -- they got the couch version at a store nearby, I'm gonna go check it out at some point.
flexsteel.com/flexsteel-loveseat/7305-20-11/iteminformation.aspx -- Looks like you have to order this thru a partnered retailer. There's one kind of close though, I might ask about it. Streets say this is the best quality wise though and it has generous warranty. If it's not more than 1.2k I might go for it

First is hideous sorry

Its a normal ass couch
You think it looks different from the 2nd one as well, or is it the textile that’s hideous?

Shape looks totally different yeah

The proportion is a little off compared to the 2nd one tbh. It could also be the angle of the photo. But comfort and quality is my priority with the couch. In terms of aesthetics the color is all I’m really concerned about, light beige will suit the room best. Ima still check it out in person and see how it feels
invest in a nice couch so you dont have to replace it next time you move. I like mines with a nice chaise. this is one i got:
