you have to really love it to put up with the extensive schooling and getting certified, just like with medical fields.
And donāt do marketing, youāll hate your life.
I got a relative who did marketing, and you're right
Highly depends on school, ranking, region, etc
A Harvard History major has a better shot at working at Goldman Sachs than a finance major from North Dakota State
Computer Science majors outside of big tech hubs are typically depressed programmers or it tech
Engineering is good in the south, tech hubs, cities but you will hit a ceiling in terms of salary. Oil and Gas engineering is good, but you will work in the middle of nowhere unless it's at a big O&G firmp
Accounting is great for job security, but unless you have Big 4 experience, you won't get far as fast
Finance majors are only good at top ranked schools with Investment Banking or Consulting recruiting
Marketing Majors typically become account managers for a sales company making 50-70K for their entire career unless they reach a management position
MBA is a waste of money if it's not ranked within the top 25, 30 is pushing it
Most masters degrees are wastes of time and money unless it's required for the job
From a pure future perspective - STEM will always be a great skillset, but that doesn't mean every STEM major is making a lot of money. The job market is very tough and competitive for high paying jobs
Big 4 in accounting is a big b****

Not sure, every story Iāve heard from people who went to law school was about dropping out. Iām not sure if that speaks to law school being hard or me not knowing any rich people.

not worth it unless you're accepted into one of the stronger law schools
not worth it unless you're accepted into one of the stronger law schools
I go to a really good school within range of DC with a strong law program
not worth it unless you're accepted into one of the stronger law schools
What is this ranking? Is this the ābest bang for your buckā value?
On a separate note, law school is a b**** and, if you donāt find the material/prospective employment opportunities interesting, save your $.

if it's the one I'm thinking of, you'll have no problem. but the ones I listed are considered the T14 schools, aka the best universities BY FAR to trudge through law in.
even then, you have to be wary. law school is very expensive, and the jobs you get right after you graduate may demoralize you compared to some of your STEM and business peers. you'll be working a LOT for only a decent compensation for what you've been through.

it is a list of the T14 law universities, given a ranking by:
1. cost of tuition, accounting for how much financial aid they hand out and their base tuition costs. the higher the ranking, the cheaper the uni.
2. employment after graduation. this doesn't mark "high-quality" jobs (which, if you're considering high-quality jobs right after grad, should probably just shoot for Big Law), but instead the percentage of grads that get jobs in a 1-year timespan post-grad.
the list is weighted 75% towards the employment rating, and 25% towards the cost of attendance rating.
Go to a trade school. Youāll be making like $50+ per hour within like 3 years of getting out

big facts
unless you are going the medical route(which you will incur tremendous debt to achieve) learn a trade
BACHELORS degrees are worth nothing; who you know is much more valuable
