"I refuse to keep making music and putting it online for free for people who won’t support me"

This what noname said and its valid

Is your point that white people shouldn't be supporting these artists, or that other demographics should be supporting them more?

NoName.literally complained about this before. It's a valid question. She makes music for black people and about black people but most of her fans are white men. Why is that?

I felt for both perspectives when she put that s*** out

I can for sure see where she's coming from, it's okay to be creating music that you know will resonant with a certain demographic - so I understand why she felt at a disconnect to the primarily white demographic of her audience

But on the other hand, you know some people in the music industry never make it, so to even have fans is a blessing regardless of what they look like. If they're supporting you and your artistry it's a bit of a sting to then try and pick & choose your audience

If you look at the reasons why someone would blame noname for not being popular it will be said that we don't support consciousjs music as much but who is the we? White men and black men are the primary supporters of conscious rap. The difference is in the support from women.
