A peace of mind. An outlet for ideas/cathartic release

peace, joy, excitement. It’s a feeling I really can’t put into words. Not to sound cliche

I love contributing to a medium that gave me so much. Making music is freeing emotionally and psychologically for me. Sometimes what comes out of the pen surprises me, like wow I really hadn't worked through that the way I thought I had.

It's also a great way to connect with people. Both of my roommates are musicians that I met playing live and we're taking that journey into the industry together.

feels good to push yourself to create something you can be proud of and find meaning in, and it makes it even better when others identify with it and tell you that it did something for them

Aside from what others have already mentioned - it can add another layer to personal nostalgia for a certain time. Like looking thru old pics while listening to tunes you made w people during that time.

i feel alot of happiness when ppl enjoy my creation and it resonates w someone on a personal level

Feel that but worst is when u dont even f*** with the song like that but someone does

It's very cool to have an idea come into your head and make it something that exists in the real world

Sampling-wise it's satisfying to find parts of older music that reward repetition, recontextualising stuff with a completely different intent than the original artist, it feels like engaging with musical history, looking through an abandoned building and finding a piece of furniture you'd like to take back home with you

Haven't found much that feels better than performing on stage + I love being creative. Gotta get back tho haven't dropped since december

Why music and not carpentry

Carpentry could be fun. I tried a few things like digital art, animation, writing stories. While they were all enjoyable, music resonated with me more.

Also part of the reason why I became an engineer (although it's rooted in math and science)

Why is your outlet iron work and not miniature trains

A way to get my creativity out. Producing music after a while, you start to look at music through that lens.

Carpentry was obviously a filler my friend so let’s not act like cats, you’ll never catch your tail.

Trains are up next btw so this is all very coincidental and funny
