Take a break for around 2 weeks and you will be fine
I have this sometimes too
Two weeks I don’t think I’ve ever gone two weeks in my life without listening to music
@OP dont worry, this can happen but i assure you it will return
If you want the click with music to return faster you can try to go on a nostalgia trip or experiment with other genres
not attacking you but i think 'nostalgia trip' is a bad move for anyone if they are truly not feeling music like they used to. it's almost like a dangling the keys in front of a baby easy move that might be fine for a bit but one year later it's time for a new crisis
Nothing is speaking to my soul right now, think I just need to stop listening to stuff for a minute
maybe your soul is in a weird place rn
Try to do a journal for a couple days and just have a dialogue with yourself, see where you are at, a lot of times you can get deep in your subconscious by writing your thoughts out. I feel like what you're facing rn probably has little to do with music.

Its not that deep, nothing wrong with going back to older joints when you getting burnt out by whats dropping at the moment
@op this happened to me last year. nothing sounded good, i was completely overwhelmed by trying to keep up with all the new music. nothing was sounding good, it felt like it was a chore to even listen to stuff.
i’m obviously still playing catch up from the break i took but it was worth it. nothing was connecting with me, i was completely over saturated.
i’d say after this friday if you still feel the same, take a month long break. i took about half a year but i understand if that’s too long.

It sounds hard but that helped me. Sometimes you need a break from something to refresh your feelings

here’s a good 90’s r&b playlist, maybe it will help.. i’m sure there are tons of gems you haven’t heard of before. enjoy if you listen

i mean i think it can be what you've just said or it can hint at some bigger issues we all may go thru so i think op raises a good thread for those who are overcome by this feeling, that's all im saying
mid 20s ppl love falling into a kid cudi regression session and come out an even worse person etc. etc.
I can only focus on one hobby at a time so i rarely experienced this, but whenever it did happen i'd either stop listening in general for a bit or listen to drastically different genre
Nothing is speaking to my soul right now, think I just need to stop listening to stuff for a minute
u might need to detox then

Well tbf my post was made under the assumption that OP just was burnt out periodically
If its some deeper personal underlying issue why he can’t make a connection he previously could make with something, then i don’t think KTT is the best place for advice or help anyway
It’s been happening to me for a while now, so by tomorrow I would stop listening to music and just pay attention to real life sounds. After a few weeks of music detox my enjoyment will come back. It’s like nofap
Bang Larry june
Music is so distracting it clouds your mind it keeps you in a dream like state it takes you out of reality it almost feels like a spell
music never speaks to your soul thats an illusion music is an evil from Lucifer
this why y’all should pray to god
music never speaks to your soul thats an illusion music is an evil from Lucifer
